Migraine Breakthroughâ„¢ Mini-Course

I am guessing by now you realize all of these years you have been managing something you wanted to eliminate.

Managing with pills, quick fixes and trying to learn every trigger you might possibly have and eliminate them from your life.

Let me tell you, that approach will never truly work.

Sure, you might experience temporary relief from the severity, duration, or frequency of your migraines as you painstakingly eliminate one trigger at a time, but the migraines themselves won't be gone.

If you're looking to put an end to your migraines and stop the day-to-day management, you need to focus on the reason behind them—the root cause.

And that reason as you now know is chronic inflammation.

We know inflammation is a natural response of the body's immune system and can be beneficial when it's acute and not dangerous.

We call this "Green Zone" inflammation in the Migraine Freedom protocol.

The body uses inflammation to defend itself against damaged cells, viruses, bacteria, and other threats, aiming to remove them and promote healing.

However, when inflammation becomes chronic, it can persist for months, years, or even decades due to a failure to eliminate the underlying causes.

The longer chronic inflammation persists, the more inflamed you become, exacerbating symptoms and making them worse.

Using our Migraine Sensitivity scorecard, we use green through red zones to track the levels of inflammation you may be experiencing. Did you fill this out in the previous lesson?  If you haven’t, make sure you go back to this and reach out to get the training that goes with your Zone.

Chronic inflammation is becoming increasingly prevalent due to society's tendency to cover up symptoms instead of addressing their root causes.

Think duct tape covering your check engine light.  You can't see the annoying red light but the issue is still there.

This quick-fix, instant-gratification approach is evident in our bodies' diminished ability to fight off conditions such as the common cold, the flu, and even COVID.

Chronic Inflammation is now being linked to almost every health condition, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, infertility, weight gain, brain fog, and exhaustion.

Research on this topic is finally gaining momentum in the conventional medical community, although it's a slow process often hindered by big pharmaceutical companies.

Unfortunately, most doctors, especially those we consult for migraines, tend to focus on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause, which, in the majority of cases- even those with head injuries, migraines around their cycle, family genetics, and neuralgias to name a few is chronic inflammation.

According to a report from Harvard Medical School, they agree chronic inflammation plays a central role in some of the most challenging diseases of our time, including the ones I just listed…autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, as well as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, and even Alzheimer's.

It's disheartening to see that despite all the medical advancements, our nation's health is deteriorating and more people are popping pills to get through their days.

Wouldn't you expect the world to be a healthier place if everyone is taking pills and undergoing procedures to "cure" their ailments?

Well-Instead of simply taking medication to reduce inflammation in a specific area of the body (by the way, most migraine medications are anti-inflammatory drugs), our focus should be on reducing chronic inflammation, the very thing causing the migraine in the first place.

Remember, relying on medication and gadgets to temporarily mask pain and inflammation is like covering up the check engine warning light in your car with duct tape.

Think of everything you do to mask your pain as duct tape.   It covers up so you can’t see/feel the problem but the problem is still there.

Eventually, if you keep using the tape, the car will stop working, and so will you.

The World Health Organization (WHO) ranks chronic diseases as the greatest threat to human health.

The prevalence of diseases associated with chronic inflammation is expected to persistently increase in the United States over the next 30 years.

Did you know that diseases caused by inflammation, like heart problems, cancer, and diabetes, affect three out of every five people around the world?

Migraines might seem like just a painful inconvenience, but they are a sign of this kind of inflammation happening in your body.

So, if you're dealing with migraines, it's more than just pushing through the headache.

It's about asking yourself if you're okay with possibly putting your future health at risk.

Addressing migraines isn't just about getting rid of the pain for now; it's about taking care of your health for the long run.
